“A Name Great Among the Nations”

Well, I’m caught up (for now) on posting my recent sermons! Our journey through 2 Timothy is finished, and we’ve begun a new series through the last book of the Old Testament, Malachi.

While I didn’t preach the first sermon in this series, I still had to do a lot of background work to get ready to preach through the book. That research was very helpful to me in recalling the context in which the prophet Malachi ministered. My sermon was based on Malachi 1:6-14, in which God is confronting His people, and especially the priests, on their pitiful worship through half-hearted sacrifices. The passage reminds us that God is worthy of giving everything we have to Him in worship. Let us lay down our lives as living sacrifices!
