Sometimes the Bible convicts the preacher just as much as it does the congregation. The text for this sermon was one of those instances. Colossians 1:9-14 challenged me in why, how, and how constantly I pray. A good reminder that we need the Spirit’s powerful working to grow in Christ…more than just about anything else.

“The Gospel of Hope that Bears Fruit”
Well, this sermon is the first to my congregation as their newly installed Pastor. I decided to make my first series a journey through Paul’s letter to the Colossians, mostly because it focuses on the supremacy of Christ over all things. This message was from Colossians 1:1-8. The theme of this book is one that I’d like to be central to my pastoral ministry, so it’s a good place to start!
“Remembering to Turn”
This is a few weeks old, but here’s the sermon on Malachi 4:4-6 to close out the book of Malachi. I won’t be preaching for awhile because of a lot of activities and special services related to the final leg of the pastoral transition, but I’ll look forward to February!
